Who owns and operates Spanish Hills Golf & Country Club?

Spanish Hills Country Club, a California mutual benefit non profit corporation owned by the Equity Members, owns the club operations and the personal property, and holds a long term land lease on the land on which the Club resides.


Who will be entitled to use the Club facilities?

Primary Members, their spouses, and children under the age of 22 living at home or who are enrolled as full-time students may use the Club facilities.


Are memberships transferable?

Equity Memberships are transferable. At the time of re-issue, the outgoing Equity Member will receive an amount equal to the reissued initiation fee less the transfer fee. The transfer fee is the greater of $7,500 or 25% of the selling price. All other memberships are non-transferable. See the Club’s Bylaws and Rules and Regulations for details.


Does the Club host outside golf events?

Yes. However, the Club limits outside golf events to non-holiday Mondays.


What is the Club’s dress code?

All Members and guests must wear appropriate attire. Spikeless golf shoes are required on the course. Only appropriate tennis attire is permitted on the tennis courts. Denim clothing of any kind is not permitted anywhere on Club property. See the Rules and Regulations for additional details.


What is the membership approval process?

Prospective members will receive a tour of the facilities, an explanation of the various membership types, and an application. Once the completed application is returned along with refundable 5% deposit for the appropriate membership category, a background and credit check will be completed by the Club. The applicant will be interviewed by the Chairman of the Membership Committee, and the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations will be reviewed. The Membership Chairman will then assign a Member Sponsor, who will accompany the prospective member for a day of golf, tennis, etc. Once the final membership approval is granted by the Board of Directors, the new member will be asked to pay the remaining initiation fee, and will be welcomed as a Club member.


When will I start paying dues?

Monthly dues are pro-rated from the day you join the Club.
