CHEF DE CUISINE/BANQUET CHEF

The Spanish Hills Club Team is currently seeking a creative professional with passion, dedication and commitment to fill the position of Chef de Cuisine/Banquet Chef

Responsibilities:
  • Manages food production, including menu planning and personnel supervision, for banquet functions.

  • Manages food production, including menu development, costing and execution, for holiday buffets, Sunday brunch and other special occasions.

  • Assures proper staffing levels and payroll controls.

  • Hires, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates the work of kitchen staff.

  • Evaluates job performance of kitchen staff; corrects, rewards and disciplines staff in a fair and legal manner.

  • When requested, assists with production of daily specials for restaurants.

  • Assists in the hiring, training and on-going supervision, including scheduling, of all employees involved with food production.

  • Establishes and maintains professional standards of conduct and appearance at all times.

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of ware and pot washers, night cleaners and other non-cooking kitchen workers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

  • Performs all necessary supervisory functions for subordinates; develops performance standards; trains; directs on-going work.

  • Requisitions china, glassware, etc., for the operation to ensure sufficient supplies for efficient service.

  • Assists or relieves the senior sous chef whenever reduced banquet volume allows.

  • Serves on the banquet function committee to assist in the planning of food-related aspects of each special event.

  • Establishes and adheres to food cost goals for banquet functions; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are attained.

  • Attends departmental staff meetings.

  • Assures that food quality standards and pre-determined costs are attained on all banquet functions.

  • Responsible for consistent use of safe work practices by all banquet staff.

  • Conducts physical inspections of kitchen preparation and storage areas to assure that sanitation standards are consistently attained and that areas are organized with appropriate security precautions in place.

  • Understands and consistently follows proper sanitation practices including those for personal hygiene.

  • Sets up plating line for functions and assists with plating duties.

  • Assumes complete charge of the kitchen in the absence of the senior sous chef

  • Assists in food procurement, delivery, storage and issuing of food items.

  • Performs other special, ad hoc duties as requested by the executive chef and senior sous chef.


Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience desired

The Spanish Hills Club Team is currently seeking a creative professional with passion, dedication and commitment to fill the position of Part-Time Bartender


Responsibilities:
  • Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available

  • Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks

  •  Mixes, prepares and serves drinks to members and guests, mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers and beverage servers according to the recipes approved by the Food and Beverage Manager

  •  Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment

  •  Maintains records of liquors, beers, wine, tobacco and sundries to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times, and builds beverage programming

  • Maintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand

  • Cleans and lock ups the bar area according to prescribed procedures

  • Carefully follows all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service, and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question

Responsibilities:
  • Assists Golf Professional in instructing and with merchandising, on-course, cart and personnel management responsibilities.

  • Maintains Pro Shop inventory control system.

  • Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules and regulations.

  • Conducts golf clinics.

  • Maintains handicap records.

  • Operates Pro Shop in absence of Pro Shop Manager.

TENNIS CLUBHOUSE ATTENDANT

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MECHANIC

The Spanish Hills Club Team is currently seeking a Maintenance and Repair Mechanic to assist with general repairs and maintenance.

  • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club

  • Conducts repairs to plumbing, such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MANAGER

The Spanish Hills Club Team is currently seeking a Maintenance and Repair Manager to carry out, supervise and coordinate all clubhouse repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, furniture, masonry and building structure. Supervise maintenance and repair mechanics.

  • Coordinates the servicing and repairing of systems for lighting, heating, ventilating, fire, drainage, plumbing, electrical, painting and related maintenance activities.

  • Monitors all work done by outside contractors and communicates the status of each project to the chief engineer.

  • Makes cost estimates for budgeting and contract review purposes.

  • Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records of equipment and machinery.

  • Hires, supervises, schedules, trains and evaluates maintenance and repair mechanics.

  • Supervises the maintenance of parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pools and other recreational areas.

  • Ensures that all building maintenance, repair and cleaning activities are identified, scheduled and completed.

  • Maintains the clubhouse ground’s sprinkler system, swimming pool water, lawns, shrubbery and trees.

  • Keeps the work shop areas safe, clean and well-lighted.

  • Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises.

  • Attends staff meetings.

  • Responds to emergencies at any time.

  • Issues supplies and equipment to employees.

  • Collects maintenance and work orders from department heads for approval by the general manager.

  • Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies.

  • Helps develop and maintain a resource management plan that outlines short-term and long-term requirements for repair and maintenance, capital replacement and capital requirements.

HOUSEKEEPER
 

The Spanish Hills Club Team is currently seeking a Housekeeper for cleaning all areas of the club and notifying maintenance of any issues.

Responsibilities

  • Dust rooms and furniture

  • Clean restrooms; restock restroom supplies

  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors throughout the club including dining areas

  • Sweep patio area and dust patio furniture

  • Empty all wastebaskets and ashtrays

  • Disinfect telephones

  • Buff floors

  • Clean and polish brass

  • Wash inside and outside of windows

  • Shampoo carpets

  • Reports any damage, burned-out light bulbs and plumbing problems to the maintenance or housekeeping departments.

  • Takes trash to dumpster

  • Polish glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment and door handles.

  • Move furniture

  • Clean locker room areas including showers and bath areas

  • Clean walls throughout clubhouse as necessary

  • Maintain outside of clubhouse building (cleans walkways, patios and entrances)

  • Maintain the pool area including changing rooms and restrooms

  • Clean exterior of HVAC vents

  • Conduct deep-cleaning projects

  • Clean all restrooms on golf course and at revenue outlet locations

  • Assists with tables, chairs and other furniture needed for special events

  • Dust exercise equipment

  • Clean employee restrooms

  • Clean cigarette containers at entrances 

  • Vacuum elevators; clean stairwells and landings; dust ceiling light fixtures; spot cleaning as necessary; check drapes for needed repairs and missing hooks

  • Transport linen to and from the linen or laundry room

  • Attend departmental staff meetings

  • Complete other appropriate assignments made by the Facilities Director

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Have an eye for cleanliness
